It has been rightly and accurately taught by some, if not many, that Bible scripture has at least three levels of interpretation. Basically, those three aspects include the past, present and future – the primary, practical and prophetic. So it is with the ancient Tabernacle of Moses. In Biblical prophecy, symbolism is used to literally represent people or things. For example, a lamb can represent Christ (Revelation 5:5-7), a serpent commonly symbolizes Satan (Revelation 12:9) and a horn on a beast can represent a king or a kingdom (Revelation 17:12). Through prophetic symbolism, the Bible interprets itself. The Old Testament is full of symbolism, along with the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation. Daniel and Revelation deal with the time of the end and contain many prophecies to be fulfilled in the time before Christ’s return. The Tabernacle of Moses is one such symbol. This particular symbol represents God dwelling among his people. In this study, I wish to take you back to the Garden of Eden – to Adam’s fall and God’s remedy. From that point, we will move through history as we walk through the Tabernacle four times; once to review it’s memorial of the past; a second time to note it’s practical (present) use in the days of the Old Testament; and a third time to view the fulfillment of it’s prophetic implications in the New Testament and beyond … which includes it’s stunning fourth dimensional and very visible connection to the United States of America. As the first century drew toward a close, the last remaining apostle was exiled to a Roman penal colony in the Aegean Sea. John was imprisoned on the Island of Patmos because of his teachings concerning the “word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ …”
“I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 1:9).
The “word of God” to which he referred may not simply have been his faith in the existing divinely inspired collection of writings, but rather his continual public preaching about certain mystical conversations he was having with an unseen angelic presence. “By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens … Lo, these are parts of his ways.
The book of Job predates Genesis by several hundred years. Though it is part of the Bible, it was written about a man who lived at least four centuries before Moses composed Genesis. Job had no written Bible. The Bible this ancient pilgrim read consisted of a series of constellations that appeared in the night skies high above the earth. There are references to these constellations in the book of Job, along with an explanation of why they appear as they do in the heavens. Our defining statement in Job 26 tells us that the “crooked serpent is one of God’s leading characters in this drama of the ages and that these constellations – these “pillars of Heaven” – make up the “parts” of God’s “ways” …
“The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof” (Job 26:11). “By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Lo, these are the parts of his ways” (verses 13-14).
These verses explain that the constellations were devised by God himself to teach early man about his plan for redemption. Continue reading “RAISING HELL WITH CERN AND ORION’S BAND: THE REST OF THE STORY”
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison“ (1 Peter 3:18-19).
Myths, legends and modern stories all testify that upon this earth, there were once powerful and evil super-human beings who took great pleasure in tormenting mankind. They were the old gods of tradition and folklore … Zeus, Apollo and their ilk. Were they merely figments of human imagination, or were they real? Are these the entities the Bible identifies as fallen angels masquerading as “gods” to the ancients? Many Christians and people in general do not want to believe that these demigods of old were real. With the development of the early church, pagan deities faded into the forgotten pages of folklore. Yet, the Bible refers to the “sons of God,” “fallen angels” and other demonic creatures who once tried to subvert humanity. They perfectly fit the description of the old demigods. The Bible reveals that they are now locked up and restrained in a place called “Tartarus” … Continue reading “RAISING HELL WITH CERN AND SATURN”
The Old Testament prophets were called upon in times of national apostasy. They were the evangelists chosen to bring revival to the nation. They were patriots who spoke on behalf of God to the heart and conscience of the people. Their message was twofold: it was for the people of their day as they called for repentance, but also presented God’s divine plan and purpose for their future. It is a fact of Biblical scripture that there is coming an event so momentous and beyond human expectation that it staggers the imagination to even contemplate it. This event, as many true Christians already know, is called the rapture. The rapture event will see millions of people worldwide disappear off the face of the earth and ascend into Heaven to be with the very one who was the center of their faith. For those left behind, an untold nightmare of seven years of divine judgment will strike the earth. The below two scriptures are the two most quoted and recognized verses in the biblical text that affirm this fact clearly …
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
In addition to the plain surface reading of some biblical text such as quoted above that there will be a rapture, many do not realize that the Old Testament contains additional hidden prophecies indicating a pre-tribulation rapture of all born again believers. The book of Zephaniah is one such hidden prophecy found in the Old Testament. Continue reading “ZEPHANIAH’S PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE”
“And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come” (John 2:1-4).
It has been said that the term “hour” from John chapter 2 refers to an epic historical event which was scheduled before the foundation of the world was laid. It has profound prophetic significance. Continue reading “THE APPOINTED “HOUR””
Back in the 1980s, the late J.R. Church discovered that the psalms seem to have been encoded with allusions to modern events that happened in the specific year according to the number of the psalm. The Psalms also seem to tell the story of the Jews and their return to the Promised land in this century. Going back through modern history, one can see that this is the case. The Psalms are positioned as the 19th book in our Bible. Book 19, chapter 48 tells the story of Israel’s re-birth in 1948. Continue reading “DATE APPEARS IN PSALMS: IS IT BY DIVINE DESIGN?”
By nine o’ clock in the morning, Jesus Christ had been arrested and tried before the Sanhedrin, Herod and Pilate. All were kangaroo courts. No substantial charges could be made. No credible witnesses or evidence could be presented. Yet, he was condemned. Hardened soldiers stripped him of his outer garment and laid the Roman scourge across his backside with a vengeance. Jesus was flogged, dressed with a makeshift royal robe, given a stick for a scepter and crowned with a wreath of thorns. He was led out before Pilate and an angry crowd – drunk with a blood-thirst … Continue reading “THE PROPHECY BEHIND THE CROWN OF THORNS”
