As many Christian prophecy watchers are well aware, there have been numerous signs in the heavens taking place in the past several years. The tendency of many is to observe these signs with amazement and then to forget them as a sign no longer relevant with current prophetic implication. A yesteryear sign that “went nowhere” and was seemingly relevant then but not relevant to now, or some fuzzy variation of that. The next thought may be “oh well, let’s go get a cheeseburger and watch Breaking Bad reruns.” But what I will seek to do in this article is revive the staggering implications of a heavenly sign that occurred starting in the year 2000 – ending in the year 2007 – and show it’s divinely ordained significance to prophetic events taking place right now that this heavenly planetary conjunction sign seems to have been portending. It is a fact of Biblical scripture that there is coming an event so momentous and beyond human expectation that it staggers the imagination to even contemplate it. This event, as many true Christians already know, is called the rapture. The rapture event will see millions of people worldwide disappear off the face of the earth and ascend into Heaven to be with the very one who was the center of their faith. For those left behind, an untold nightmare of seven years of divine judgment will strike the earth. The below two scriptures are the two most quoted and recognized verses in the biblical text that affirm this fact clearly …
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
In addition to the plain surface reading of some biblical text such as quoted above that there will be a rapture, many do not realize that the Old Testament contains additional hidden prophecies indicating a pre-tribulation rapture of all born again believers. The book of Zephaniah is one such hidden prophecy found in the Old Testament. Continue reading “ZEPHANIAH’S PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE”
In 1898, the 14 foot long linen cloth reputed to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ was photographed for the first time. In the developing process, photographer Secundo Pia held his huge glass negative plate to the light and, for the first time, saw that it produced a positive image of the man on the shroud. Awestruck, Pia uttered the words that have emanated from the lips of thousands since: “It is the Lord!” From that moment, a storm of controversy, rebuttal and attack raged around the world. “And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come” (John 2:1-4).
It has been said that the term “hour” from John chapter 2 refers to an epic historical event which was scheduled before the foundation of the world was laid. It has profound prophetic significance. Continue reading “THE APPOINTED “HOUR””
“Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?” (John 18:10-11). Continue reading “THE PROPHECY OF THE EAR OF MALCHUS”
God makes no errors. Yet some have portrayed the cross as some sort of divine blunder in which a defeated God gave rise to two thousand years of earthly chaos, division and suffering. Continue reading “THE BIG PICTURE: THE DRAGON TRAP”
Back in the 1980s, the late J.R. Church discovered that the psalms seem to have been encoded with allusions to modern events that happened in the specific year according to the number of the psalm. The Psalms also seem to tell the story of the Jews and their return to the Promised land in this century. Going back through modern history, one can see that this is the case. The Psalms are positioned as the 19th book in our Bible. Book 19, chapter 48 tells the story of Israel’s re-birth in 1948. Continue reading “DATE APPEARS IN PSALMS: IS IT BY DIVINE DESIGN?”
By nine o’ clock in the morning, Jesus Christ had been arrested and tried before the Sanhedrin, Herod and Pilate. All were kangaroo courts. No substantial charges could be made. No credible witnesses or evidence could be presented. Yet, he was condemned. Hardened soldiers stripped him of his outer garment and laid the Roman scourge across his backside with a vengeance. Jesus was flogged, dressed with a makeshift royal robe, given a stick for a scepter and crowned with a wreath of thorns. He was led out before Pilate and an angry crowd – drunk with a blood-thirst … Continue reading “THE PROPHECY BEHIND THE CROWN OF THORNS”
The Holy Spirit sent a very special message through the Apostle John. His Gospel, based on Passover, introduces Christ as the sacrificial Lamb and as deity, equal in ever way with God the Father. John also wrote the book of Revelation. It is based on Rosh Hashana, and shows the glorified Christ functioning as High Priest during the days of Awe. Between these two magnificent books lie John’s three small epistles, each carrying it’s own special and unique message. Four times, 1st and 2nd John introduce the Antichrist by name. Taken in order, these five books – the Gospel of John, the epistles of 1st, 2nd and 3rd John and Revelation – present a flesh-and-blood picture of Christ’s opposite, the Antichrist. They present him in type, personality, philosophy and theology. Together, they bring a depth and detail to the Antichrist’s story that is found nowhere else in scripture. The structural synchronicity between John and Revelation is breathtaking. Chapter by chapter, the two books follow a similar systematic course, as they cover a series of topics related to redemption and judgment as revealed in part 1 of this article (link below).
